SAN JOSE
San Jose is an economic, cultural, and political center of Silicon Valley and the largest city in Northern California. With an estimated population of 1,015,785, it is the third most populous city in California (after Los Angeles and San Diego) and the tenth most populous in the United States.
San Jose was founded in the latter part of 1777, as the Pueblo de San José de Guadalupe, the first city founded in the Californias. The large concentration of high-technology engineering, computer, and microprocessor companies around San Jose has led the area to be known as Silicon Valley.
San Jose is home to several colleges and universities, the largest being San Jose State University. San Jose has many parks including Kelley Park, a 156-acre city park that encompasses diverse facilities such as Happy Hollow Park & Zoo, the Japanese Friendship Garden, History Park at Kelley Park (a.k.a. History San Jose), Portuguese Historical Museum, and Viet Museum within the historic park.
Los Gatos' founding dates to the mid-1850s with the building of a flour operation, Forbes Mill, by James Alexander Forbes along Los Gatos Creek. The mill's two-story stone storage annex has been preserved as a museum just off of Main Street.
According to Bloomberg Businessweek, Los Gatos is ranked the 33rd wealthiest city in the United States. Los Gatos is part of Silicon Valley, with several high technology companies maintaining a presence there. Most notably, streaming and content creator, Netflix is headquartered in Los Gatos and has developed a large presence in the area.
Los Gatos is home to some of the most distinguished schools in Silicon Valley such as Hillbrook School and Mulberry School. With over 29,000 residents, Los Gatos continues to retain its small-town image with a well-balanced mix of residential, commercial, service, and open space uses, benefiting residents, businesses, and visitors.

CAMPBELL
Campbell has grown from a small farming community with a population of approximately 5,000 to a progressive community with a population of over 38,000. Campbell's downtown is located near where Campbell Avenue intersects with the railroad.

Downtown Campbell is a vibrant shopping and entertainment district featuring many historical landmarks and over 100 shops, services, and restaurants for you to explore and enjoy. Centered around the historical birthplace of the City of Campbell, remnants of the past are visible on every block of Downtown Campbell as the exchanges of community life happen against the backdrop of classic architecture dating back to the early 1900's.In the early 1990s, the Ainsley House, a unique English Tudor-style house built in the 1930s, was moved from its original site at the corner of Hamilton and Bascom Avenues (the current site of eBay's headquarters) to the downtown quad and furnished with many of the Ainsley family's original furnishings. It has become the centerpiece for the Campbell Historical Museum, which houses additional exhibits in the nearby old firehouse. The Ainsley House was built in the style of English country cottages for John Colpitts Ainsley, a canning pioneer in Santa Clara County, which was at the time known for its vast spreads of fruit orchards.

Willow Glen is known for shopping along tree-lined Lincoln Avenue, with indie clothing boutiques, specialty food stores, and bookshops.
A Saturday farmers’ market runs year-round, offering local produce and prepared food. Casual dining options include family-friendly restaurants, bakeries, and pizzerias, and the neighborhood frequently holds downtown festivals, including art and wine events. Dancing on the Avenue (DOTA) is Willow Glen's annual street party that occurs on one day in summer. It is celebrated along Lincoln Avenue, between Willow Street and Minnesota Avenue.

CAMBRIAN PARK
Cambrian Park is a west San Jose neighborhood and district that’s one of the more affordable, high-value areas in Silicon Valley. The name "Cambrian Park" was used regularly since the 1950s by the then San Jose Mercury and San Jose News newspapers (now The San Jose Mercury News) to refer to a portion of the Union school and Cambrian school areas. The schools are good, the crime is low, and the commute is not too bad.
Cambrian doesn’t have an interesting, upscale downtown area like Campbell, Los Gatos, Saratoga, or Willow Glen but it does have tons of shopping and restaurants and a Farmer’s Market. It also enjoys a top-notch hospital, Good Samaritan. There are plenty of parks as well as a fantastic recreation center called the Camden Community Center, which has a large adjacent, tons of programs including an after-school program for youth, classes, and a fabulous pool.
Saratoga is a small-town residential community with a population of approximately 30,000. From a frontier town to an industrial settlement, from a village of fruit orchards to a residential city, Saratoga has continually evolved over its colorful 160-year history.
Located on the Western edge of the Silicon Valley, Saratoga is known locally for its suburban small-town feel, wineries, and high-end restaurants. Named the most expensive suburb in California in 2010, Saratoga is home to some beautiful neighborhoods such as Brookview and Pride's Crossing in the north part of the city, Blue Hills and Greenbrier in the northwest area, and Congress Springs in the southwestern corner of Saratoga. Elite private schools also call Saratoga home and include Challenger School, Saint Andrew's School, and Sacred Heart School.
For outdoor fun, Saratoga Creek Park and Wildwood Park provide playgrounds and hiking trails.
SARATOGA
SUNNYVALE
Sunnyvale is the seventh most populous city in the San Francisco Bay Area and one of the significant towns comprising Silicon Valley. With a population of over 140,000, Sunnyvale is bordered by portions of San Jose to the north, Mountain View to the west, Los Altos to the southwest, Cupertino to the south, and Santa Clara to the east. It lies along the historic El Camino Real and Highway 101.
Sunnyvale is the headquarters location of many technology companies and is a major operating center for many more. Sunnyvale was given its current name on March 24, 1901, and was named Sunnyvale as it is located in a sunny region adjacent to areas with significantly more fog. There are approximately 476 acres of parks in the Sunnyvale Area. Some of these parks include Las Palmas Park, Seven Seas Park, two public golf courses, and Baylands Park, site of the annual Linux Picnic. Sunnyvale has consistently ranked as one of the safest ten cities (for cities of similar size) in the United States
The Mission City was built around the Santa Clara Mission and the prestigious Santa Clara University. In 1950, a new product, the semiconductor chip, was developed. The resulting electronics industry, based on the silicon chip, gobbled up the remaining orchard land and changed the agricultural nature of Santa Clara and Santa Clara Valley forever. By 1990, the city covered 19.3 square miles and had a population of more than 93,000.
​Few remnants of Santa Clara's agricultural past remain as it today sits in the heart of what is known worldwide as Silicon Valley. By harvesting the fruits of high technology, the Mission City has become a prosperous and progressive city with much to offer residents, businesses, and visitors alike. Easy commutes and accessibility to freeways and expressways, many tech firms in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Sunnyvale, and Cupertino make Santa Clara the first choice for engineers and tech workers relocating to the Silicon Valley.
